The second trip to the Wall was substantially more interesting than the first trip. This time we had only a faint idea of how to get there, so we put our trust in a kind Chinese man that spoke almost no English. We rode in his "mini-bus" to a part of the Wall that wasn't technically open to the public. We had to climb a shady ladder through a tower window to get onto the Wall. When we came back down, our driver mimed to us that two people had actually died on the part of the Wall that we were climbing.
Even though we could have died that day, it was completely worth it. The sight was phenomenal, and we were practically the only people there. It was a physically taxing journey that was completely worth it in the end.
