The Temple of Heaven is the worlds largest and most intact ancient imperial altar. The architecture is classic of ancient Chinese beliefs that heaven is round and the Earth is square; hence the temple being round and the foundation being square.
It was also here that our group began to understand how much the chinese love tourists, when they asked to take pictures with our group.
